Our Story

The year was 2018. I knew nothing about growing flowers. I was renting a little house down the road from the farm where my parents lived at the time and in her retirement my mom had started growing a little plot of flowers in my dads veggie garden.

My mom invited me in, shared her little space with me, and together we created Brower’s Flowers.

That first year my mom had set up my grandpas old vegetable cart out by the road and sold mismatched vases of flowers to the neighbors. The following year she convinced me to get way out of my comfort zone and attend as many markets as we could to build our business and get our flowers into the community. The markets were tiny, the arrangements were iffy, but our community showed up and supported us and they haven’t stopped since.

I fell in love with flowers, the way they made me feel, and the joy they brought to other people.

Each year since we have expanded our growing space and our offerings.

In 2021 my fiancé Lee and I bought the farm from my parents. Our son was born soon after and I took on flower farming full time. I wanted to be able to stay home and raise our children while teaching them how to work hard and serve our community in a beautiful way.

A few years and two wild flower babes later, I have taken on this business as my own but not without the daily support of my parents and husband. You will see my mom at every workshop we host, every market we attend, and starting every single plant that we grow from seed.

On any given day you’ll catch my dad tilling, mowing the grass, planting cover crop, etc.

Lee builds all of the things and supports this business in countless ways.

This farm is truly a family affair and that is something I will never take for granted.

2026 will be a year of change and growth. You will officially be able to order flowers from us year round and you can catch us at our new retail space in downtown Rockford 7 days a week.

Growing and sharing our whimsical creations with our community brings me so much joy and I can’t thank you enough for being here.

What a dream.

Peace. Love. Flowers
