Sound Baths & Bouquets
Brower’s Flowers and Matty Sunshine Sound Healing invite you to enjoy the unique experience of building your own beautiful bouquet of seasonal blooms before relaxing during a soothing sound bath for this Sound Baths & Bouquets event. Pre-registration is required as space is limited to 20 people. Please see below for details
BUILD-A-BOUQUET: Before your sound bath, you’ll have the opportunity to build a bouquet of freshly harvested seasonal blooms grown with love by Brower’s Flowers. Marissa, owner of Brower’s Flowers, will help you choose your stems to build a stunning seasonal arrangement in a small vase and give you some tips to ensure the longest vase life for your blooms.
SOUND BATH: A sound bath is a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience during which various instruments produce specific sounds, frequencies, and vibrations to shift brainwaves into a relaxed state. In this state, a person's innate healing abilities can work more effectively to bring them back into vibrational alignment while balancing the mind, body, and spirit. During this sound bath in the quaint, cozy, and rustic barn at Brower’s Flowers, Matty Makowski, a certified Sound Healing Practitioner and owner of Matty Sunshine Sound Healing, plays 8 crystal singing bowls, a Heng gong, tuning forks, Tibetan singing bowls, and Tingsha cymbals. The sounds produced by these instruments invite you into a deeper state of consciousness, serve as an opportunity to unplug from external stimuli, and promote self-inquiry/discovery.
This sound bath lasts approximately 60 minutes. During this time, you may choose to lay down, sit up, or some combination of both - whatever helps you enter a peaceful, calm state of mind. The sound bath begins with guided meditation and breathing to ground the body and relax the mind. For the remainder, different sounds, frequencies, and vibrations fill the air while you simply enjoy your listening experience. Following the sound bath, you are invited to enjoy light refreshments and ground yourself by casually strolling through a peaceful and stunning garden area.
DATES: Saturday, July 12 & Saturday, September 13
TIME: 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
LOCATION: Brower’s Flowers - 9320 Ramsdell, Rockford, MI 49341
PARKING: Please note Brower’s Flowers is located at a private residence. When arriving, please pull in the North driveway (same side as the roadside farm stand) and all the way around the dirt drive to park behind one another in the driveway. Once the driveway fills up, guests can begin parking in the grass. There will be someone outside to help direct you!
WHAT TO BRING: We recommend bringing a yoga mat, pillow(s), blanket, cozy clothes, and water. Due to the hardness of the rustic barn floor, you may also consider bringing something additional to lay on top of, like an extra blanket, sleeping bag, or even a pool float. Eye masks can also be helpful to wear to enhance relaxation. If you will need to sit upright, Brower’s Flowers can provide a metal folding chair or attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs. Please let us know in advance if you will require a chair or other accommodations.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
